Back to RC Setup Troubleshooting Guide
Increase stability
- Caster (F): more
- Camber: more front, then more rear
- Toe: wheels closer to straight, especially front (0 degrees)
- Shock damping: heavier front / lighter rear
- Tires (F/R): harder compound
- Track width (F): wider
- Droop: less (for high-speed stability)
Increase traction
Most impact
- Camber (F/R): less
- Anti-squat: less
- Toe: more rear toe-in
- Roll center: lower
- Camber link (R): longer
- Weights: bias weight to rear
- Transmission layout (2WD off-road): standup / 4-gear
- Droop (pan car): more rear
- Diff fluid (4WD): lighter
- Shock angle: inward at rear tower
- Shock damping: lighter oil / more/larger piston holes
Less impact
- Loosen slipper clutch / lighter clutch springs (esp on low-grip tracks)
Reduce wandering
Improve ability to drive straight easily.
